Isaac White met Boy Scouts Troop 400 as a young lone scout at the Greater Alabama Council, BSA Summer Camp at Camp Comer.

For over 8 years, he was affiliated with the troop becoming very familiar with the scouts and leaders alike and unofficially tagged by the late Albert Farrar as the “mascot” of our organization due to his enthusiasm. Indeed in joining his father and siblings in later earning the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout, he becomes Mr. Farrar’s last Eagle Scout.

Isaac continued being a cheerful and helpful scout pitching in wherever and whenever needed. He enjoyed teaching new scouts which is why when Troop 412 and Troop 400 merged earlier this year, he as appointed Troop Guide.

Today, Isaac turns 18. He will continue his interests in Martial Arts (specifically Jiu Jitsu and Karate) and also hopes to serve the military in the near future.

We wish Isaac a happy birthday and much success in his future endeavors!

We are grateful to the city of Huntsville for inviting our scout to lead the pledge of allegiance at the city council meeting last Thursday.

Earlier today, Troop 400 and a few of our Cub Scouts set out to perform a neighborhood cleanup of the L. R Patton community.

In total, we collected and disposed about 160 gallons of litter from the parking lots, grass lawns and side walks of the community. (at Huntsville, Alabama)

An important part of our program within the cooking and camping requirements is the planning and budgeting of meals. Scouts learn about prices per unit, serving sizes and healthy options while grocery option.
